This simple site is meant to point to ways of being and playing beyond ordinary, three-dimensional reality. It offers small cracks in conventional structure where light comes in, and sight goes out, through and beyond.
Cracks in established (supposed) reality let in light and serve as doorways to realms of imaginal inquiry and reflection. It is our birthright as human beings to access realms within and beyond the material, literal and visible worlds.
Spacious Imagination is a core faculty of our human being. We each have the capacity to actively participate in the unfolding of our own reality, to playfully engage the world and participate in the creative unfolding of our own experience.
Words, images, bodies, movement, ideas, intuitions and feelings are alive. We live in a process that ever flows, no matter how much we might like to grab and hold it still. It wiggles. It squirms. It makes little squeaking noises. It will not be pinned down. WE will not be pinned down. Our imagination will not allow us to become fixed or static, no matter how desperate is our search for security.
In our search for safety – ground that does not move - many of us forget that our souls are nourished when we move our legs and arms and breath and swim, when we flow along with the river, when we participate in our own unfolding in an active, saying "yes" kind of way.
And many of us, as we “mature,” forget how to play.
Reflective play opens up space where we co-create our own ongoing be-ing. Playing in soulful ways enlivens our living presence and our contact with ourselves and one another. We are ever-in-process beings who remake ourselves and each other at every encounter. We are not truly "separate," yet we must be willing to show up as separate yet open-ended individuals in order to play and renew.
How do we sustain a dynamic balance between our felt sense of being separate and our deeply nourishing and sustaining interconnectivity?
