Psychotherapy
To be human is to feel great joy, as well as to suffer. Sometimes, along the way, we find we need help to address and rebalance the difficult and joyful aspects of our daily lives.
Psychotherapy is a process of earnest work and play between two people in the service of one person's healing, development and transformation. Two people commit to meet regularly within a strong, safe and resilient frame to attend to one person's self-discovery and healing.
The work is a soulful partnership within a space created to foster insight and change. In this partnership, I take on the role of "therapist" and the person with whom I am working takes on the role of "patient." Yet, we both must be therapeutic and we both must be patient for the work to unfold in a meaningful and effective way.
I hold a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology and thus am a doctor, but not a medical doctor. I am a practitioner working in the realm of human relationship to address suffering and possibilities for renewed growth and development. I work with individuals from all walks of life — young and old, big and small, angry and hurt, confused and hungry, addicted, wounded, depressed, overflowing with longing… All are welcome.
I am licensed in the State of California as a Psychologist and have a private practice in West Los Angeles. Please call me if you would like to speak with me further or to schedule a consultation. I may be reached at 213.595.8659.
We can decide in our initial consultation together whether we feel like a good "match" and our work can proceed from there.
I look forward to hearing from you. And I wish you well on your healing journey.
